I'm basically speechless. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all of those who helped contribute to the gift box I am sending to the Borrego family.
You all know who you are.
I am in awe of the good of people and their willingness to give generously to people they don't even know. They gave with no desire for recognition or acknowledgment but because of their compassion and kindness. I had friends who went out of their way to personalize gifts for the girls. They sacrificed money and time that could have been spent on something that they or their family could have enjoyed. My parents donated a generous amount of money to this family when I'm certain that money could have gone towards my mom's extensive medical costs.
When I decided to put together this package, I never would have thought that I would be the one who would benefit from other people's kindness so much. I can picture the looks on these three little girls faces when they open their gifts. I hope that they (and their dad) can experience a few moments of joy as they feel the love from perfect strangers. THAT is the true spirit of Christmas and for that I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you.

Awesome! I'm so happy it worked out. I was worried when we talked last. Tell me how I can get that same kind of support from people to raise about $3500 for Tammie. We're only about $1000 there. :(
After I bought those Costco cookies I realized that box is going to Colorado where it is SO COLD. Those cookies are bound to be frozen solid! I hope they thaw out ok and taste ok...they were so delicious when I tried a sample at Costco :). I just hope they are still delicious when this sweet family gets them...
Yay! I'm glad you got so many people to help out. Inspiring!
