Our trip: Part One

We are back! It has taken me a few days just to feel partly human again. The trip was fun, but super tiring! I may never be quite the same. I just spent the last hour trying to catch up on all you people's blog entries! I didn't take the time (sorry) to leave comments because I don't have all day, but it sure was fun to see what you have all been up to. Did I mention I've missed you?
I'm gonna have to document my trip in a few different posts because there is just so much. I had to steal some pictures from other relative's blogs because I was terrible at taking pictures while we were gone. Here's a few highlights: Part One...
We spent A LOT of time swimming at my parent's house. The kids and I came home with golden tans. Did you know that fat looks much better when it's tan?

This was for sure one of the highlights of the whole trip. My big sis Anna ran her first 5k race! My brother and sister-in-law (above) are avid runners and have been so encouraging to her along the way. They had these t-shirts made for them to wear and were so supportive and awesome! Anna did a great job and made me cry when I saw her cross the finish line! She has inspired me to start running again after this baby is born. I hope to get to run a race with her someday.

The wedding was in Big Sur, so we decided to drive up to Monterey the day before and spent the afternoon at the beach. It was a little cold and windy, but the kids had a blast!

What's a beach trip without burying somebody?

After the wedding, we decided to hit the beach again. Not such a great idea this time. It was SO windy and cold. Miserable. We left about 30 seconds after this picture was taken.

Stay tuned for part two of our trip. The wedding!

You're hilarious, I agree that any skin looks better with a little tan, fat or not.

You would never know from those pictures that it was cold and windy the sky looks gorgeous.
