Utah

We survived! It was a very crazy/borderline insane week, but we survived and had a GREAT time!! Thanks Anna and Trent for hosting our reunion and for making it all possible! You were both so patient while your house was being destroyed! I hope the recovery is quick and painless. Here are some pictures from our week. I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted to, and my camera wasn't cooperating, but here's a few.

Sarah and Blythe were inseparable the whole time. In fact, I don't think they had more than 3 major fights the entire time. Miracle.

Here is our vain attempt at taking a group picture of the grand kids. 17 kids. Notice Tucker's butt up in the air and Hayden putting Jonah in a head lock. It was actually pretty humorous.

All 8 of the Waite siblings. Sam, Molly, Drew, Amanda, Em, Sherod, Tim and Anna.
Me with my 3 favorite sisters.
One of the funnest nights was when Korrine came to watch the kids and all the adults went out to dinner and bowling. Here are the guys playing a game of Foosball while we were waiting for our lane.

We took the kids up to Brighton on Friday and put the kids in ski/snowboarding lessons. It was so cute watching the kids learn to ski and snowboard.
Sarah did amazingly well. She was a natural and picked it up super fast.
We left on Sunday morning and decided it would be really cute to take a little (unintentional) $25 detour through Zion's National Park. It ended up costing us an hour, but I think in the end it was worth it to see the views. I had never been and I was not disappointed!

When we were driving through Kanab, Rob got scared when he saw this police car parked ahead on the side of the road. He was speeding and thought he would for sure be pulled over. Look who's sitting in the drivers seat.

Minus a little disciplinary action along the way, we made it home safe and sound. After puking all day yesterday, I think I'm back to my old self. My house is trashed and I have loads of laundry, dishes and cleaning to do and zero motivation. Wish me luck.

Oh, and...

Happy New Year!

Thanks for coming. Today I am so sad that everyone is gone. It was so worth all the work... and destruction. I hope everyone had a good time. I miss you and am glad you are feeling better.

That is great that you all got together. Sounds like you all had a wonderful time, although it had to be pretty crazy. It is so nice to see your brothers and sisters and their families. Isn't it fun to be part of a big family? :)

Umm... Couple things. What do Blythe and Sarah have to do to qualify as a "major" fight?

The "unintentional" detour was maggie's fault; not mine.

I was not speeding and therefore not afraid of the cop. I appreciate your sense of drama, but only when it comes at the expense of someone other than myself.

Finally, no child was harmed in any disciplinary efforts; unless Sarah hurt her foot stomping around that parking lot in Fillmore.
