Holy Hack Job!

Let me explain...
I have been annoyed with my hair for a while and yesterday I decided to do something about it. And true to Emily fashion, I acted on a whim and hurried to the salon without thinking things through.
Well, this is the result. I'm just now starting to cope and take comfort in knowing that it WILL grow.
I thought I was pretty specific with the stylist in telling her what I wanted. I should have spoke up when hair started flying everywhere and I felt like a dog at the groomers. She got a little carried away with the thinning sheers-or whatever you call them.
Anyway, what is bumming me out the most is that we are having family pictures next week and this is what I'm gonna be looking at for years and years.
Oh well.
Ps. I'm not fishing for compliments guys.

It looks like Amy's haircut. You can totally pull it off. I like it.

I ♥ it! Hair grows fast if you want it longer :) ♥ Hugs!

How did "trying to stay calm" get real hearts? I think she is over using them to make me jealous.
When you told me about it on my blog I was expecting worse. I like it. It really gives you nice lines and definition. I am trying unsuccessfully to sound like I know what I am talking about, but I really do like it.

Your hair grows like a weed so if you don't like it, just wait a week or two. And srsly, short is the new long, didn't you know? I really like it.

I know you said your not fishing for compliments, but you would look pretty even if you were bald, and don't try to argue with me. It cracks me up a little because its just not "you". Even though it is cute.

I must be the only one that is Shocked. Yeah, it's short, but at least it's a style. I had a haircut once that was horrible. Now I wish I had a picture of it.

Anyway, back to you, Sorry you are having a hard time adjusting. I totally know how you are feeling. You'll get used to it, and it will be better in a few weeks. It is a cute cut, so be glad for that.

It is really cute. Hopefully in a day or two after the shock has worn off you'll like it too.
I'm with you, why are we so hesitant to tell the stylists we don't like what they did or get them to stop before they do something we don't like? I'm always worried about hurting their feelings, but with the amount of money we pay, they shouldn't have feelings.

I know you aren't fishing for compliments, but you still look beautiful. You aren't capable of looking ugly.

I need a face on pic before I can give you an honest assesment. K

You already know what i'm going to say, no need to feel self conscious with a face like yours. The cut actually makes your hair look very full and no dry split ends like mine.

The first thing I thought is that it does look like Amy's hair style. I agree w/ everyone else, you're so pretty no matter what the hair style. I think it's totally cute anyway though.

I think you look beautiful with your hair whatever way it is. I think it's cute, but the same thing happened to me the last time I got my hair cut. I wonder why hairdressers don't listen.

It totally is Amy's haircut! It looks great on you and I bet it will look great on you too!

No compliments just truth! I think your hair looks cute and in my opinion you could go bald and still be beautiful.

I think that it is cute. And the nice thing about short hair, is that a style like this really does lose it's shape after just a few weeks, so if you really hate it, then don't cut it for a couple of months and I think you'll like it much better.

You're gorgeous no matter what.

I've had a few "hack jobs" in my life time but I have to say this doesn't compare. I think it is way cute, honestly. You have such a beautiful face that it really doesn't matter what your hair looks like!! You pull it off beautifully!! And it is definitely an "in" style cut right now!!
