The Big Day

This is a big deal people. The first day of school is today and there is an eerie silence in my house.
Nevermind my hubby's back end. The kids were thrilled that Dad stuck around to take them to school.

This was a super exciting day for this particular boy. Kindergarten. He didn't go to sleep very easily last night because he was worried about getting "uspended" (suspended). Not sure where that paranoia comes from.

Can't forget about the baby. Guess what she had for breakfast? Just me and this blue-eyed beauty for a while. Lucky me.

Seriously, it's the first day of school already?? I can't believe that. We still have about 3 weeks. Which is fine, I'm not quite ready yet. Your kids are getting so big. I can't believe you'll just be at home with Rachel. Those eyes are adorable. This fall it will be just me and Porter for 1/2 the day. Hooray!

when does school get out? That seemed like a short summer. I hate it when the kids go back to school. My house seems too big and quite.

I bet you fed her some ice cream for breakfast. That would be fun and tasty.

School. So glad we are not there yet. But you should get a lot done. So cute about your kindergartener. Oh those first day butterflies still exist huh. I thought that they were just in the olden days. :)

Is it bad of me to say I'm soooo jealous??

Wow I have so much reading to do on your blog to catch up. I haven't been on the computer much in the past couple of weeks. I better take advantage of my little one napping.

Yes, it was a wonderful feeling leaving 3 kids at school, and bringing home just 2. I forgot to remind Kirk to stay home this morning, until his alarm went off at 4, so he went to work. Lucky, you reminded Rob.

So did Rachel get cookies for breakfast? Jaden did, and fruit snacks, and whatever else he can get and eat before mom catches him. :)

Er, it's still summertime here for another month. I'm not ready for school to start again. Your school year must end a lot earlier than ours. Or is it year-round school?

WHA? The first day? Ours isn't for another 2 weeks and I think it will be just right. Only you and Rachel around? How quiet!

Wow, only one child at home (for few weeks anyway)! What a nice treat for you. I hope everything went well for Ren and that he didn't "uspended".

I understand the eerie silence you're experiencing and I'm excited to experience a little of it myself soon :)☺

Congrats on surviving the summer break! The kids all look so cute on their first day of school. The picture of Rob walking w/ them is great, what a good dad! Enjoy your house a bit more quiet. How do you think your blue-eyed beauty (she's a doll) will be w/ out the kids around? I think Seth is going to have a hard adjustment to just him and I during the days. He's used to the other kids entertaining him.

I still can't believe that your kids are in school already! Although, it seems totally worth it to have them out at the end of May!
