Meet 'Sun-fire' our immortal goldfish. Seriously, this fish may possibly be the one and only FOREVER living goldfish! This fish has endured more than some of us will endure in a lifetime. This fish has had cereal, toys, socks, shoes and many other kinds of foreign objects thrown into his tank by various children. This fish has gone without food for weeks at a time. It's tank wasn't cleaned out for months and while his fellow fish friends were dying off, he was still kicking. The other day while my VT's were here Ren and Jordan (the 2 year old I babysit) put an entire container of fish food along with all their toys and snacks into the tank. When I discovered what happened I was SURE the fish was dead. The water was so foggy I couldn't even see the fish. I was ready to just dump the whole thing down the toilet when (I swear) I heard the fish say, "Wait--I'm still alive naner-naner-naner...they can't kill me!" So, I took the fish out of the tank with a net, placed him in a bowl and there he sat until we could get a new tank(the other one got broke in the process). I feel bad, but I was secretly hoping he would just die. Anybody who knows me knows that I'm not an animal person and I have really bad luck with pets. Well, our little fish friend is still with us. I guess he really wants to be part of our family.

We had one of those Goldfish while growing up...my older brother once cleaned the tank with lysol and didn't rinse very well, needless to say all the ohter fish died but not "Charlie" he got a little deformed though. He survived six kids and all their bugging, along with numerous cats...some of those fish from the fair are very resilient!
That's so funny! My friend's fish just died last week, so I can't believe what your fish has lived through! That's hilarious! I love it! Glad you saved him before he went down the drain saying, Saaaave Meeeeeee!
