Caleb's first day of Middle School! I'm still in denial. He had to get up extra early to start school by 7:20! Our good friends the Connelly's (their son Brandon is his best friend and also in the same grade)took him today. He was nervous, but excited too.
Kennedy, our big 3rd grader was up, fully dressed and had her backpack on by 6:20 this morning! Her and Sarah didn't have to be on the bus until 8:30. I guess you can say that she was pretty excited.
Sarah, the big 1st grader. She was especially looking forward to seeing her friends that are also going to be in the same class this year.
This was Kennedy saying, "No Mom, we are FINE we can get on the bus by ourselves!" As you can see by the picture below, I had to be an annoying mom and follow them to the bus.
I couldn't get a shot of Sarah getting on the bus...she was too quick!
It's hard for me to believe the summer is over and our 3 oldest are back in school. I thought I would be more excited than I am now, but I already miss them. Time is going too quickly and my kids are growing up too fast. Last night Kennedy asked Rob if he would give her a blessing like he did last year the night before school started. He was flattered that she would ask. We had our annual family "meeting" and we talked to the kids, prayed and Rob gave them each a blessing. It was a neat experience and I really think it helped them all feel comforted and ready to start the new school year. Ren even asked for a blessing. He didn't want to be left out! I haven't enrolled him in pre-school yet. I think I will if I can find a good one that isn't too expensive. He needs something. So, to celebrate a new school year and chapter in our lives, the younger kids and I are going to meet Rob for lunch today. Should be fun.

The first day of school is always so hard and exciting at the same time. We don't start until next week, but reading about yours made me feel a little anxious already!
I love the getting on the bus pictures.
Yeah, school is starting! This summer went by so fast. I am glad the kids are so excited to go. That would make it easier. You guys are starting really early in August. Anyway, enjoy the little ones at home. :)
Cute pictures. I love the fact that you still took pictures of the kids getting on the bus. What a fun time of the year to have school begin! I'm on the countdown! 2 weeks! Hooray! What do you do with your day now that you have 3 kids gone all day long! How fun!
