What a start...

...to a great day! I really don't like my birthday's. There are many reasons why. My 25th birthday was the worst birthday EVER. Now when I am asked my date of birth and I say "9/11," I always get the reaction, "oh, I'm sorry." I hate that from now on my birthday will always be associated with a horrible, tragic event. On the upside, nobody ever forgets my birthday.

My most favorite things I get for my birthdays are homemade cards from my kids. I LOVE getting cards and drawings from them. I cherish them. I got this card this morning and it made my day! The day could be over and I would be just fine.
I got the day off from babysitting today and so the 2 younger kids and I are going to meet Rob for lunch. Should be fun! Oh...and now I am officially 30-ish.

I was just thinking about you and your birthday this morning. It is true people will always remember your birthday. It is actually very comforting to associate this day with something good like your birthday! Another reason it is easy for me to remember your birthday is because it is the day before mine.
That card is so cute! I wish you a wondeful day filled with extra pampering!

Try 31!! That's why I'm now "30-ish" Turning 30 last year was a big deal for me, everything now is no big deal!

Happy Birthday Emily! That is so sweet that Caleb made you a birthday card. That makes me excited for the day my own kids are old enough to do something like that for me. You have such an awesome family! I hope you had a super special day today.

I'm such a loser. I swear like every year, I think you are younger! I guess that's a good thing! I hope you had a great birthday! Miss you!

Happy Birthday Emily! (yesterday) I always remember your birthday, not because of 9/11 but because it is also my sister Brittany's birthday too and I remember you have the same. :-)
